HOT NEW ORGANIC LINE GETS THUMBS UP FROM CELEBS, URGES
CUSTOMERS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH STYLE, ATTITUDE
Bethesda, Maryland (September
10, 2009) -- As eco-friendly apparel lines fight for credibility in the fashion
world, a new green brand is turning the heads of active teens and adults, and
has already captured the hearts of celebs at the Sundance Film Festival.
Yudu (pronounced you do), www.yudulife.com, hit the scene less than
two years ago with its ultra soft and sexy organic tanks, tees and thermals and
has been rapidly expanding ever since.
“It’s a versatile, practical line with an edge,” says Yudu co-founder
Eric Burka. “The fact that we’re
100% organic is a big plus, but people are initially drawn to Yudu for the
comfort, fit and cool image the brand represents.”
In celebration of its holiday
2009-10 collection, Yudu is pairing up its two best sellers – the black thermal
crew and winter beanie – in an online promotion through January 10, 2010. “The black thermal is flying off the
shelves,” says Burka, “and we
cannot keep the beanie in stock.
Together, they make the perfect gift for an active person who likes to
dress cool and comfortable with a little touch of sexy.”
Yudu’s green message extends
across the board, from its fabric to a special hang tag filled with flower
seeds, to the logo, which is comprised of seven petals in a circle with one
missing. According to Burka, the
missing piece is you, the customer.
By purchasing a Yudu item, you become part of the bigger picture,
agreeing to do whatever it is yudu to
make a difference in your own life.
That difference, he says, can have a huge impact on the rest of us.
“Yudu-ers stand out, speak up
and make an impact on their world every day, just by doing what matters most to
them,” says co-founder Gabby Rojchin.
“Customers write to us about their efforts, from recycling to caring for
abandoned animals,” continues Rojchin.
“Whatever it is Yudu, simply try to make the world a little happier and
a little more beautiful.”
To complete its own missing
petal, the Yudu team donates a portion of its revenue to a different critical
non-profit each quarter. Yudu has
already donated to a wide range of causes including environment, animals,
underprivileged children, local artists, and more.
The Yudu black on black holiday gift set will be available early October, at
www.yudulife.com. Men’s and women’s thermal sizes S-XL,
beanie o/s. Retail price: $69.
